Sky Bet Bet Types & Markets

Single bets and accumulators

A single bet depends on one selection. An accumulator or multiple combines selections under a joint outcome requirement; if a required leg loses, the multiple normally fails unless a particular promotion or settlement rule changes that outcome. Combined odds can appear attractive, but the chance of all selections succeeding generally becomes lower as independent legs are added.

The exact stake, potential return and settlement depend on the operator's rules. This page is an explanation of bet structures, not a recommendation to place a wager.

BuildABet and related contingencies

BuildABet is a football feature that permits specified combinations within a match. Standard multiples may reject related contingencies—selections whose outcomes affect each other—unless an operator specifically prices them as a supported combined product.

Sky Bet's official rule examples explain how an invalid related-contingency multiple may have a selection voided. This is different from a properly offered BuildABet, where a combination is priced under the product's own rules.

Odds, stake and settlement are separate concepts

Odds describe the stated price of a potential outcome, while the stake is the amount risked. A bet can be accepted and subsequently settled as void or adjusted under applicable rules. A displayed potential return is conditional, not guaranteed.

Do not mistake a free-bet token for cash stakes: offers can impose different return and expiry conditions. Review the Bonus Terms Guide for those distinctions.

When to read a sport-specific rule

Racing each-way and non-runner conditions require the Horse Racing Guide. Football's match-period and BuildABet restrictions require the Football Guide. Live-market timing is addressed in the Live Betting Guide.
